RUSSIAL, (215)697-9675 FISC Norfolk Det Philadelphia intends to competitively procure Warehousing and Supply Services for the Naval Air Station, Meridian, MS. The Air Station operates two principal warehouses, a SERVMART, and a Hazardous Minimization Center (HAZMIN Center). Services will include operation of the principal warehouse where inbound and outbound shipments are processed and general supplies are stored and issued. This warehouse shares their location with the Government owned SERVMART. The HAZMIN Center, which is also located in the hangar area, is a newly developed facility that manages and controls the issue and use of all hazardous materials needed to support the Naval Air Station, aircraft maintenance activities, and tenant activities, and is operated by Contractor personnel. The Contractor will be responsible for technical research and related customer assistance, requisition receipt and tracking, material receipt,material storage, material issue, material distribution and delivery, material pickup, material packaging, packing, crating and loading, and completed requisition document filing and retrieval. The Contractor will also be responsible for the quantity, handling, and condition of all material and equipment from date of acceptance to date of transfer to a party the Government finds acceptable. The Contractor will also be liable for any fines or costs which may result from Contractor error. The Contractor shall provide reports, data, messages and correspondences which relate directly to the contracted functions. The Contractor shall keep auditable records and files of all material requisitioned by customers and shall prepare for storage, shipment, or disposal of the files and other records maintained by the Contractor according to requirements issued by the COTR. The Contractor is also responsible for the prevention of accidents, leaks and spills of hazardous materials while they are in the Contractor's possession. A fixed price contract is contemplated and will provide for a one year base period of performance and up to four one year option periods. This is a 100% Small Businss Set Aside.
