The Metropolitan Detention Center, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, is seeking qualified individuals capable to provide OB/GYN services to inmates of the facility. It is desirable that interested individuals have privileges at the Doctors Hospital, Santurce, Puerto Rico. Prior correctional setting experience is desirable. The successful bidder will be responsible for the overall scheduling, venipuncture, preparing, packing and sending of the specimens to the Contract Laboratory. Services will be required from Date of Award or October 1, 1995, whichever is later for the Base Year with four (4) Option Year Periods. These services will be rendered inside the Metropolitan Detention Center, Guaynabo. The requirement will consist of five (5) sessions a week, each session is defined as six (6) hours. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 am through 2:30 pm. Number of sessions may vary depending on the need; however, bidders will be given a reasonable expectation of the requirements. Area of consideration is limited to Puerto Rico. Individuals are requested to contact the Contracting Officer listed in this notice. All requests for the solicitation shall be in writing. The estimated issue date of the solicitation is September 12, 1995, with an anticipated receipt of offers date of October 12, 1995.
