The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), FAA Technical Center, intends on entering into a sole source procurement with GPS Silicon Valley Partnership for a GSV-1002C INMARSAT modified Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. The GSV-1002C is the only receiver capable of receiving Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) integrity signals in the Aeronautical Mobile Satellite Service (AMSS) maritime band simultaneously with GPS signals. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to ensure there are no other off the shelf products available that can perform the same functions as the GSV-1002C receiver.
