Belfi, Phone (703)604-3065 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is contemplating issuing, on a competitive basis, a firm fixed price Request for Proposal to support a requirement by the Program Executive Office for Tactical Aircraft, PMA-259, to retrofit existing AIM-9M Guidance and Control Sections to the AIM-9M-8/9. The anticipated base year plus two options requirement is for a maximum quantity (includes options) of 12,000 Retrofit Kit Installations and 1,500 stand alone Retrofit Kits. Under this contemplated effort the contractor will be required to manufacture Retrofit Kits, install Retrofit Kits, deliver Retrofit Kits for installation by the Government at a Depot facility, perform First Article Testing as applicable, perform all required Hardware Testing, and modify existing Special Tooling and Test Equipment. Units being considered for retrofit under this requirement include both existing domestic and foreign AIM-9M Guidance Control Sections. The contractor must also provide a Quality Assurance Program, a Reliabilty Program, a Configuration/Data Management Program, an Operations Security Program, associated Technical Data, and have a current, approved SECRET facility clearance. All efforts associated with this potential Request for Proposal shall be ''Built to Print'' in accordance with AIM-9M production requirements.
