This is a sources sought notice. The U.S. Army plans to procure off-the-shelf, non-developmental 5.56mm rapid magazine loading systems for test and evaluation. There is potential for adoption and production for armed services use. The rapid loading system must interface with the current M16 magazines and the military packaging configuration. Further, it must be cost effective and light weight and provide advantages in speed and efficiency in use over the present system. Interested firms should submit literature/brochures not exceeding five (5) pages describing their technical capabilities, compatability with the M16, etc. in response to the aforementioned criteria.
