66 -- MASS SPECTROMETER LEAK DETECTOR SOL 8-W-5-06-00594 POC Contact GP24J/Kathy Huskey, 205-961-0222, or GP24L/Jane Maples This notice constitutes amendment no. 1 to the RFQ for a Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector (MSLD) -- The purpose of this amendment is to: 1) amend the specifications, and 2) answer a question that was received on the MSLD -- The RFQ is for an Alcatel MSLD or an equal -- The following specification is amended to read: Specification 1, - MSLD shall have at least 4 l/s pumping speed for Helium at the INLET PORT -- (NOTE: 4 l/s for air or 4 l/s at the pump inlet will not satisfy this requirement) -- The following is the official response to a question received: - Question: Are the requirements as specified in the RFQ derived from the capabilities of the Alcatel components and are there value-added tasks that the company that procures them is expected to provide? -- The Official Response: The RFQ is for an Alcatel model or equal and the specifications are the minimum Government requirements for the MSLD -- Companies shall state in their quote whether or not they are quoting an Alcatel MSLD or an equal -- Companies shall provide information as stated in the synopsis/RFQ published on 8/11/95 if quoting an equal -- The due date for responses is as stated in the synopsis/RFQ -- Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet -- The documents are in ASCII format and reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using client browers, such as, MOSAIC -- The WWW address, or URL, of the MSFC Procurement home page is: ''http://procure.msfc.nasa.gov''.
