65 -- PORTABLE LIQUIS OXYGEN PLANT, HIGH SPEED RECHARGER, AND CYLINDER REFILL SYSTEM SOL DAMD17-95-R-5063 DUE 101695 POC Contract Specialist Ms. Joan Wilson (301) 619-2387 Contracting Officer Mr. George Bauman (301) 619-2369 (Site Code DAMD17) This proposed acquisition was previously announced in the August 23, 1994 issue of the Commerce Business Daily as a requirement for two (2) each Portable Liquid Oxygen (LOX) Plants and eight (8) each High Speed Rechargers (HSR) under Request For Proposals Number DAMD17-94-R- 0053. This acquisition remains a valid requirement of the Government; however, this requirement has been renumbered and is being announced as a competitive acquisition under the Request For Proposals Number DAMD17-95- R-5063. The Portable LOX Plant is to be used at the Medical Logistics Battalion for the purpose of supplying oxygen to support the requirements of the hospital units. The LOX Plant shall produce medical grade oxygen, containing not less than 99.0 percent, by volume, of O2. The LOX Plant shall produce sub-cooled liquid oxygen at a minimum rate of one (1) ton per day (2000 lbs/day) (220 gallons/day). The LOX Plant shall not exceed the dimensions of 84''L X 104''W X 102''H. The LOX Plant, as well as the required HSR, shall be compatible with Government-owned oxygen generation and distribution systems. The HSR, along with a Cylinder Refill System (CRS), shall be capable of refilling high pressure oxygen cylinders (Size ''D'' and ''H''). The HSR shall be capable of converting liquid cryogen to a medical grade oxygen (99.0%) gas at high pressure. Delivery of the LOX Plant, HSR and CRS shall be within 180 calendar days after date of contract to Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA.
