The contractor must be a laboratory certified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to perform drug testing for Federal Agencies. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and material to perform initial immunoassays for the detection of marijuana metabolites and cocaine metabolites on all urine samples submitted. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and material to perform GC/MS confirmation tests on all specimens that are screened positive by the immunoassay initial test. The monthly specimen volume average is twenty-five thousand. The government may choose to exercise its option to test for other drugs at an agreed price and quantity, with the contractor. The performance period is for a base (1 FEB 96 - 31 DEC 97) with four (4) option years. This project is open to both large and small businesses.
