Feinberg, (202)720-6864 The USDA's Office of Information Resources Management has a requirement to recompete its local area network support contract. The current contract will be expanded in scope from serving employees in the Washington, DC metropolitan area to a nationwide effort. The incumbent, under contract 53-3142-3-1145, is Research Management Consultants, Inc. The successful contractor will be required to manage and operate a central local area network on a firm, fixed-price basis, as well as provide related services on a task order basis, as required. Several task orders in different areas of the country may be performed during the same time period. Task orders for installation and maintenance of LAN equipment will be performed either on a firm, fixed-price or a time-and-materials basis. This requirement has been pledged to participate in the Office of Federal Procurement Policy's Performance-Based Service Contracting project. This requirement will be competed among small disadvantaged business firms certified under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program. The SBA has issued national buy number 7700-95-6098 and the GSA has issued delegation of procurement authority number KMA-94-0396 for this requirement. Evaluation criteria include past performance, management plan, and personnel qualifications. The period of performance will include a base period and four one-year option periods.
