45 -- HGIH-EFFICIENCY MOTOR FOR COOLING TOWER FAN DRIVE SOL 52SBNB5C8833 POC Catherine Poole, Contract Specialist (301) 975-4154 POC Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 NIST intends to procure a Baldor 445T Super High-Efficiency Electric Motor for its cooling tower fan drive, ''Brand Name or Equal,'' which meet the following salient characteristics. The motor shall be a 2-Speed 1200/600 rpm, 480 volt 50/60 hz, three- phase variable torque super high-efficiency motor. The motor rating shall be for Hostile environment, open drip-proof, size 445T. Motor color shall be industry blue standard. Motor finish shall be Epoxy type. The motor will serve as a replacement for the current 445U type, and shall be able to occupy the physical space of the 445U type open drip-proof motor. The Motor shall meet the following additional requirements: 100/25HP; 1200/600 RPM; have One winding variable torque; 480 Volts AC/50/60 HZ; have Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) treatment; have P.D.George #923-50 Resin; corrosion-resistant grease plugs; and shall be provided with a maintenance and operation manual. Delivery of the product is required NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 30, 1995, FOB Destination. This requirement is being processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
