The purpose of the proposed acquisition is to provide engineering and technical support services for submarine and surface ship acoustical trials, in the assessment of current measurement procedures and the improvement thereof, for acoustic trials and special trials related studies, in the assessment of noise measurement systems, and in the collection, reduction, analysis and reporting of submarine trials data in accordance with established standards. A five year IDIQ cost reimbursement type contract with an estimated 89,440 labor hours per year is contemplated.
