D -- SCHEDULE FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE REVIEW OF DRAFT REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR PROVISIONING POST-FTS2000 SERVICES POC Contact Points, Carolyn Thomas, 703/827-5106, Margaret Fischer, 703/883-3363 The Federal government currently satisfies its intercity telecommunications requirements through the Federal Telecommunications System 2000 (FTS2000) contracts. The existing FTS2000 contracts will expire in December 1998. As a part of the continuing, open discussion related to the provision of telecommunications services to government users in the post-FTS2000 environment, the government hereby advises interested parties of the following opportunities to participate. The government intends to release two draft Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for review and comment: Telecommunications Services (TS) Draft RFP KEF-95-BN-000A and Technical and Management Support (TMS) Draft RFP KEF-95-TB-000B. The draft RFPs will be available on or about August 23, 1995. Instructions for obtaining these draft RFPs are given in the CBD dated August 4, 1995. The government will accept written comments on the draft RFPs through October 10, 1995. Instructions for submitting comments are given in the CBD dated August 4, 1995. The government also invites oral summaries of written comments for presentation before a Government Panel, consisting of members of the Interagency Management Council, at the ''Post-FTS2000 Continued Open Opportunity to Present (CO-OP)'' meeting on October 31, November 1 and 2, 1995, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Department of Commerce Auditorium, 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20230. Requests for an opportunity to speak and/or attend the meeting will require advance reservation with the understanding that the government will limit the number of presentations based on time constraints and space. Requests for attendance will be accepted on a first-come basis until seating capacity is reached. A Registration Form, with instructions, is included with each draft RFP. The following information is requested for registration: Name, Title, Organization, Address, Phone No., FAX No., and Internet address. Registration request must indicate attendance only or identification of RFP(s) for which you wish to submit oral summary of written comments. Submit requests by October 3, 1995, to FAX (703) 883-5214 or INTERNET - cdr@post.fts2k.gsa.gov. Reservations will be confirmed by October 25, 1995. Both written and oral comments will be incorporated into the Post-FTS2000 Concept Development Record which will be available to the public.
