DAKF29) Contractor to perform small to medium size general construction
requirements in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode
Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia,
Maryland and Delaware for the period of 1 December 1995, or date of
award, through 30 November 1996, with two option periods to be
exercised at the discretion of the Government. Work consists of
maintenance, repair, renovation, alteration and new construction. Work
may include all construction disciplines. Each project to be
negotiated with the contractor by the Government with an individual
delivery order issued for each project. A negotiated scope of work for
each delivery order will provide specific construction requirements.
A construction specification and unit price book will determine overall
construction requirements for this contract. The predetermined unit
prices included in the unit price book will be used by the contractor
as the cost for work to be performed. The successful contractor will
provide a cost adjustment factor to be used for the entire contract
period to determine projected cost of the work to be performed.
Separate factors will be provided for pre-priced non-priced work,
normal and other normal working hours. This is an indefinite quantity
contract. The Government guarantees a minimum ceiling of $1,000,000 for
each of the performance periods, and a maximum ceiling of $5,000,000
for each of the performance periods. The contractor will be evaluated
on their ability to manage and perform this type of construction
contract. A subcontracting plan will be required. This is an
unrestricted solicitation. Solicitation packages will be $200 each
(non-refundable) and will be available on or about 5 September 1995.
Checks should be made payable to ''US Treasury'' and should be mailed
with the request for solicitation. Requests for solicitation must be in
writing only, be accompanied by a check, and contain the following
information: Company name, address (other than Post Office Box), point
of contact, telephone number, telefax number and business size (large
or small). There will be a formal site visit/pre-proposal conference
