Roof replacement and HVAC upgrades at Buildings 3 and 4 at the Denison Job Corps Center located in Denison, Iowa. The work to be performed under this project consists of the following items: (1) Building No. 3 - Dormitory Building - Replace the existing wooden stairway between the basement floor and the first floor with a new steel framed concrete filled steel pan construction. Removal and replacement of (4) four rooftop HVAC units serving the first floor. (2) Building No. 4 - Vocational Education Building - Removal and replacement of approximately 15,000 Square Feet of the existing built-up roof with a new fully adhereed EPDM roof system. The estimated cost range of constr5uction is between $100,000 to $250,000. Substantial completion shall be in 84 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specification shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must be in writing. Requests will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for September 19, 1995, at 9:00 a.m. local time.
