Corrigan (205) 235-6231 (Site Code DAAC01) Work consists of furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment. The Government will furnish 1639 T. F. of relay 90# rail, joint bars and tie plates. In general, the work shall consist of repairs to railroads including, but not limited to, the following: Furnish and install 1830 T.F. of new 115# RE rail, joint bars, and tie plates; install 1639 T.F. of government furnished relay 90# rail, joint bars and tie plates; furnish and install 1818 track bolts and 4404 snap on rail anchors; anchor spike 3563 T.F.; remove existing, furnish and install two new #8 turnouts complete; furnish and install two sets #8 switch ties plus 95 each individual SW ties; rework 1308 T.F. of road crossings; furnish and install 1907 tons of ballast; surface, line and dress 5443 T.F. plus 14 turnouts; furnish and install two rail field welds and 66 kegs of track spikes; remove existing, furnish and install 1703 new crossties; clean, lube and adjust 417 switches; furnish and install two hand throw derails; and clean 2390 T.F. of road crossing flangeways. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with specifications, schedules, and drawings that will be furnished with the solicitation plus the following publications: Federal Specifications FF-S-611A, MM-T-371-E, and TT-W-571j(2); Military Specification, MIL-J-12368D; MS-35400, and MS-35473; American Railway Engineering Association, A.R.E.A. 8-71, 8-62, Plan No. 7, 87-88; American Society for Testing Materials Standards, C131-81, D 75-82, A1-84, D751, D2263, and D117; and American National Standards Institute, ANSI B18.10; American Wood Preservers Association AWPA C6-89; U.S. Department of Transportation, traffic Control 1978; and Alabama State Highway Department, Bituminous and Paving. Estimated magnitude of project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. One Job to be performed at the Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, Alabama 36201, with 90 percent of the work being in the Ammunition Limited Area. Completion time to be within 240 calendar days after date of notice to proceed. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
