Sources are sought for an effort to establish Cultural Resources Management Support. AFDTC's Environmental Management Planning Division is seeking sources for cultural resources exploration, evaluation, nomination, and mitigation support at Eglin AFB, FL. The proposed services will be obtained by indefinite delivery indefinite quantity, competitively negotiated contracts with periods of service of one (1) year with four (4) option years, beginning approximately January 1996. Work is expected to be continuous and involve multiple, simultaneous projects, however, intermittent or seasonal work schedules may be necessary. Based on responses to this announcement we anticipate that three (or more) contracts will be awarded, including: one (1) Small Disadvantaged Business set-aside, one (1) Small Business set-aside, and one (1) full and open competition. Individual delivery orders issued by the Contracting Officer will result from descriptions of services issued by the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative. Work will involve Phase I archeological surveys ranging in size from 5 acres to 2,000 acres, Phase II test and evaluation of known sites, evaluation and recording of historic buildings and structures, nomination of historic properties to the National Register of Historic Places, archeological Phase III mitigative data recovery involving 5 to 25 or more cubic meters of excavation per site, preparation of reports of investigation, and computer database entry of the results of the aforementioned tasks. Principal Investigators under this contract must have a verifiable record of extensive research in the American Southeast, with preference given to those with experience in relevant culture areas. Respondents meeting these minimal requirements will be sent a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or around 8 September 1995, with proposals due on or around 10 October 1995. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. The factors to be used in evaluating the proposals and their relative order of importance will be included in the RFP.
