The U.S. Army Laboratory intends to negotiate a modification to Contract No. DAAD05-91-C-0074 with General Electric Computer Service Option (GECSO), 6925-Q Oakland Mills Road, Columbia, Maryland 21045 for a seven (7) month extension of automated data processing maintenance services at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This action will be processed on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.301.1(2)(ii) since GESCO is deemed the only source capable of fulfilling this mission critical need until a competitive follow-on contract is awarded. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
