38 -- ICE-BREAKING ATTACHMENTS FOR CATERPILLAR ROAD GRADERS AT FORT RICHARDSON, ALASKA Sol DAHC76-95-Q-1185, Due 090595, contact Edith Smith, 907/384-7641, Contracting Officer, Bobby Crittenden, 907/384-7104. This is a notice of intent to acquire two (2) ice breaking attachments for Caterpillar Model 130G road graders located at Fort Richardson, Alaska, IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1. The items to be purchased are ``Ice Busters'' manufactured by the Industrial Machinery Attachment Company, Design Group Limited, of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Each ``Ice Buster'' consists of a series of star-shaped, wedge toothed castings freely rotating together on a shaft crossing the width of the grader. The item also includes a titlt cylinder so that ice can be removed up to the edge of curbs. The item required is a newly designed product which will penetrate and fracture large amounts of compacted ice and snow thereby reducing the snow and/or ice into small, manageable chunks which can then be removed by the grader blade. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation; however, all Quotes submitted within 15 calendar days after publication date of this notice will be considered by the Government.
