Postal Service is soliciting proposals for the removal of the existing windows and the replacement of historic profile steel windows and non-historic aluminum windows per plans and specifications. Work shall also include, in phases, containment of areas at windows, and coordination of lead abatement on frames, mullions, lintels, etc. with lead abatement contractor. Paint to match new windows. The U. S. Postal Service intends to award a contract to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be the most advantageous to the Postal Service. The construction cost range is $400,000.00 to $500,000.00. Evaluation factors in addition to price to be considered are as follows: (1) Owner's references; (2) Experience; (3) Past performance, and (4) Financial stability. Plans and specification will be available on or about August 11, 1995. Plans and specification will be provided for a non-refundable cost of $10.00.
