This is a sources sought synopsis for the purpose of developing a data base of 51% or more Indian Owned-Controlled firms available to satisfy the Portland Area Indian Health Service requirements for Office Copying Machines andSupplies. The responses received will be used to determine whether or not they are eligible firms in which to set future prcurements aside under the Buy Indian Act, 25 U.S.C., Buy Indian Act. The Portland Area Indian Health Service purchases for locations throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Office Copying Machines for the purpose of this synopsis means all equipment which produces copies of images from ``hard''or printed originals, at a single location, whether or not the individual machine has any additional capabilities. The copying machines may produce anywhere in the range of 69 or fewer 8-1/2'' x 11'' plain paper copies per minute in their most productive modes. Prospective Indian Owned companies should submit a completed Standard Form 129, Solicitation Mailing List Application, and proof that the owner meets the definition of ``Indian'' in PHS 380.502-1 of 48 CFR Chapter 3. Certification of tribal affiliation and degree of Indian blood issued by the BIA is acceptable proof. If a firm or organization is certified by the BIA or the IHS, evidence of that certification may be substituted. Fax copies of the S.F. 129 and Certification of Indian Ownership are requested.
