This project is for the renovation of existing bathrooms and construction of new bathrooms on second floor of Building 6 in accordance with Nursing Home Care Unit Criteria, JCAHO and Department of Veterans Affairs requirements. Work to provide construction and alterations for private bathrooms, semi-private bathrooms, Hydro tub and stretcher shower room. A/E design to include demolition, general construction, asbestos abatement, walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, painting, grab bars, electrical, lighting, receptacles, nurse call, electric panels, HVAC, ventilation systems, mechanical, plumbing, construction required for space functional changes impacted on due to this project, alterations required to existing systems i.e. fire sprinkler impacted on due to the project and alterations in other areas of building i.e. ground, first, second floors, attic impacted on due to this work. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 25- mile radius of the F.D.R. VA Hospital, Montrose, NY. Estimated construction range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Selection criteria will include but is not limited to the following: professional qualifications and disciplines of staff, examples of specialized experience and technical competence in various disciplines required, examples of project schedule control and capabilities showing ability to accomplish work within allotted time, past experience and performance on Government contracts, qualifications and performance of sub consultants proposed for the project, cost control capabilities, level of estimating effectiveness including specific examples, and computer capabilities, including drawings on AutoCad Release 12 or compatible package, and Specifications on WordPerfect Release 5.1.
