M -- OPERATION OF JOB CORPS CENTERS Contact Mary Y. Lindsey, 214/767-2127/Contracting Officer, Jose M. deOlivares, 214/767-2567. Subject to funding limitations, RFPs will be issued for operation of the Gary Job Corps Center located in San Marcos, Texas, and the Laredo Job Corps Center located in Laredo, Texas during the period July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16 to 24. Contractors will be expected to manage and operate a Government-owned facility and hire staff for residential living, basic education, vocational training, and provision of health services. All activities will be in compliance with applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations, policies and handbooks. Issuances of specific CBD Notices for Operation of the above centers will be followed by pre-proposal conferences and walk-throughs. Those responding affirmatively to the above notices, through a written request to the Contracting Officer, will be sent a copy of the solicitation, 15 days after publication of the CBD notice. (219)
