The Weather Communications Program Management Branch, HQ SSG OL-B/SDFM, is seeking information concerning the capability to remotely tune HF receivers. The remote location could range from 2 to 5000 miles distant from the receiver site. Remote selection of alternate antennas at the receiver site is also required. Ideally, information that considers RACAL R-2174 receivers is desirable, but alternative concepts are of interest. Your response should include system architectural configuration (no detailed cost/pricing data) and technical literature. Proprietary data should be clearly marked as such. This is a Request for Information only. This request does not in any way consitute an IFB or RFP, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. A reference library is not available at HQ SSG OL-B and an industry briefing is not planned.
