Existing contract expired June 30, 1995. The software maintenance supports UNIX on SGI running IRIX and Sun running SUNOS platform. Media on CD-ROM. Requires phone support and documentation. This software maintenance include s fixing problems and product productivity improvements for the operating systems, lanugage compilers, databases, communications, networking management, and performance monitoring software. Period of performance is for one year plus reinstate ment of past due support. Oracle possesses proprietary processes that are not av ailable to other organizations and is the only known source capable of providing this service. Award of subcontract is expected O/A September 30, 1995. Interest ed persons have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their requests. Those who are interested in proposing this software maintenance must submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specification, brochure, and price lists) in the critical areas mentioned above. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Responses received without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis. A determination by Boeing not to compete this proposed subcontract, on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis, is solely within the discretion of Boeing.
