Etta Mae Track/Contract Specialist, Eddie Quotskuyva/Contracting
Officer/(602) 379-6760. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is resoliciting to
procure phase-to-ground line tuner for San Carlos Irrigation Project
(SCIP) at Coolidge (Pinal County), Arizona. The procurement consists of
35 each line tuners for use on the 69kV transmission system. The line
tuners shall meet all applicable IEEE and ANSI standards. The frequency
range shall be 30 kHz to 535 kHz, use with coupling capacitor of 1000
pF to 20,000 pF, and must not pass any frequencies below the field
adjustable cutoff frequency. The turner coil shall wound inductance to
be on a phenolic form, winding taps to be available for coarse tuning,
and adjustable ferrite core to be available for fine tuning. The power
rating must allow continuous power of up to 50 watts R.M.S., and
P.E.P. of up to 100 watts. The transformer must have magnetic core with
two windings, taps to allow matching a 50 ohm coaxial cable to an HV
line characteristic impedance of 50 to 2000 ohms. The ambient
temperature range shall range of -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C (-4
degrees F to +140 degrees F), and humidity up to 95% at +40 degrees C
(104 degrees F). The capacitors must be high grade mica insulated
phenolic molded capacitors, connection straps to allow series-parallel
connection, and internally mounted knife blade switch. The lightning
protection shall be equipped with an MOV type of lightning arrester and
arrester shall meet all applicable IEEE and ANSI standards. The line
tuners shall have 4 modules mounted on a steel or aluminum plate, have
flexibility for future use by allowing up to 8 modules, and be
suitable for surface mounting, particularly on the exterior of the base
box of the capacitor voltage transformer. The product shall be
delivered within 120 calendar days after award of contract. The
solicitation will be available by 18 Aug 95. No telephone requests.
Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are
acceptable. Fax number is 602/379-6763. Request must state that neither
