United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road
North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300, will issue Solicitation No.
082530-95-A-0096 for expansion of the lobby at the Main Post Office,
101 Main Street, Topsham, ME. Sealed offers are due Wednesday, August
30, 1995 no later than 4:00 p.m. Work shall be started within ten (10)
calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and completed within
seventy five (75) calendar days. The estimated cost of the work is
between $200,000.00 and $400,000.00. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF
THE PROPOSALS AND THE RESULTS OF THE ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT BE
PUBLISHED UNTIL AWARD OF THE PROJECT. There will be a preproposal
conference held at the Downtown Station postal facility (120 Exchange
Street), Portland on Wednesday, August 23, 1995 beginning at 10:00
a..m. to discuss the specifics of this project. Attendance is not
mandatory but is strongly suggested. Work includes but is not limited
to providing all labor and materials to demolish the existing interior
space, provide new interior walls and finishes including floors and
ceilings, new electrical service, new HVAC, scissors lift, and loading
dock. Exterior work will include masonry, concrete, and asphalt
paving. Proposal documents and specifications may be purchased for
$35.00 per set from the Support Service Team, Facilities Service
Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT, 06006-0300. Make certified
check or money order payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S. Postal
Service. Cash will not be accepted. (Charge includes the cost of
mailing.) Specifications may be inspected at the issuing office and
informatio n regarding their availability may be obtained by calling
