R -- FISCAL AGENT FOR MEDICAID MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM The purpose of this advertisement is to announce that a Request for Proposal will be issued on August 18, 1995 to secure, on a competitive basis, a new fiscal agent to takeover, modify, enhance and operate Arkansas' Medicaid Management Information System/Fiscal Agent Contract. Claims processing operations would begin on January 1, 1997. The announcement should include the following planned key events and dates: Opening of Documentation Library on August 7, 1995. Release of RFP on August 18, 1995. Technical Proposals due at noon on October 20, 1995. Contract Signing on December 18, 1995. Contract Begins on February 1, 1997. Offerors are required to propose to take over and operate the existing, certified MMIS with revisions/enhancements to meet Arkansas' requirements. Takeover and Post Takeover enhancements will be required and a new MMIS data reporting platform and Executive Information System will be developed and installed. Additional enhancements will be required including one to allow the Arkansas MMIS to support capitated managed care.
