COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 9,1995 PSA#1406DOT, FED HWY ADMN, Office of Acquisition Management, 400 7th St. SW,
Room 4410, Washington, DC 20590 A -- LONG TERM PAVEMENT PERFORMANCE REGIONAL COORDINATION OFFICES POC
Ms. Linda K. Hooks, Contracting Officer, (202)366-4217. The Federal
Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking potential sources capable of
providing regional office, non-personal technical and management
services to support FHWA's Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP)
studies. The LTPP is a 20 year research project with the objective of
extending highway pavement life through improved pavement design and
rehabilitation methods. Currently nearly 2000 in-service pavement test
sections, located throughout the United States and Canada are under
study. It is anticipated that a total of four contracts will be awarded
to support the studies being performed in four North American
continental regions. These regions consist of a Southern Region, a
North Central Region, Western Region, and a North Atlantic. Offices in
each of these regions shall support LTPP studies in the surrounding
states and Canadian provinces. Specifically, the contractor(s) selected
for this effort will provide collection of site specific pavement data
from a number of LTPP test sections, coordinate data collection
efforts of other contractors performing work in the region and State
highway agencies, ensure quality control of data, and prepare and
transmit data to the National Information Management System (NIMS).
Additionally the regional coordination office shall provide analysis of
LTPP data, as needed, and logistical coordination for regional study
participants. Parties interested in participating in this project are
invited to submit a written expression of interest to this office
within 30 days from the publication date of this notice. Expressions of
interest should reference the project title and include a brief
discussion of the organization's capabilities, and the name, address
and telephone number of a point of contact at the organization. This is
not a formal solicitation announcement, however, organization's
expressing interest in this project may request a copy of the
solicitation when it becomes available. (0219) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0004 19950808\A-0004.SOL)
