The basic bid work includes the construction of a second floor space within the existing double height spaces of bays 1 and 2, the renovation of all interior first floor spaces in bays 1 and 2 to provide a finished office environment, construction of an electrical room in the adjacent bay 3, all indicated exterior work and all associated mechanical and electrical work as well as all incidental related work. This item also includes the replacement of the existing glass glazing of the two rear second floor windows with polycarbonate glazing. Additive Bit Item #1 includes the construction of an adjacent masonry stair tower to provide access to the newly constructed second floors of bays 1 and 2. This work will include demolition of an existing masonry wall, construction of the new stair tower enclosure, and construction of the new stair, and all associated mechanical and electrical work and all incidental related work. Addititive Bid Item #2 includes the installation of all interior partitions, doors, and finishes for the newly created second floor, and all associated mechanical, electrical, and incidental related work. This project is unrestricted. Estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
