Lighterage consisting of Causeway Sections, Non-Powered (CSNP) 79 each,
and components. Each causeway section has a nominal length of 90 feet,
depth of 5 feet, approximately 21 feet wide, has a light draft of 20
inches, and weighs approximately 67.5 tons. The pontoon sections shall
have pontoon-to-pontoon connectors to enable rapid construction of a
variety of structures utilizing the different types of causeway
sections. There are three types of CSNP pontoon sections: (1)
Intermediate, (2) Beach End, and (3) Offshore. For this procurement the
Navy is buying only Intermediate (50 each), and Beach End (29 each),
and components. The contractor will produce hardware using the approved
Government developed product baseline in accordance with the contract.
The contractor will ensure the quality of the work, maintain records
and provide a configuration management program. The contractor's work
effort will result in products acceptable to the Government as
demonstrated by First Article Inspection (FAI), In Process Inspections
(IPI), and Quality Conformance Inspections (QCI).The proposed contract
is being set-aside 100% for small disadvantaged business (SDB)
concerns. SDB concerns should, as early as possible but no later than
15 days of this notice, indicate interest in the acquisition by
providing the contracting office above a request for solicitation.
