RENNER/Contract Specialist 540-542-2133 The proposed procurement is for handicap barrier removal and repair/alteration of Bldg. 110. The base bid work include the: installation of a watt-hour meter, doors, windows, incremental thru-the-wall heating/air conditioning units, communications and power raceways, carpet, lights, suspended ceiling, attic insulation, and underground electrical services; construction of two entry-way porch coverings, a unisex lavatory, a ramp, and wood steps; reinforcing of a floor; paint of interior walls; and removal of hooks/brackets, filling of holes and repointing portions of the exterior concrete masonry unit walls. Option One Work shall be the installation of an exterior insulation and finish system on the building. Prospective contractor's will be required to possess a Virginia Contractor License to submit a bid in response to this solicitation. The work will take place at the Federal Emergency Management Agency VA, in the county of Loudoun. The Government estimated price range for the work is between $250,000 and $500,000.00. A firm-fixed-price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded. A Pre-bid Conference and Site Visit will be scheduled, the exact date and time will be identified in the solicitation, Section L. The period of performance for the base contract work and Option One work is 300 calendar days from the receipted of notice to proceed.
