Ninth St., Bonham, TX, 75418, in accordance with plans and specifications. Work involves replacement of DX Units, including demolition, earthwork, excavation, backfilling, general construction, alterations, asbestos abatement, mechanical and electrical work, underground chilled water systems, structural steel and roof modifications, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Base Bid Item includes demolition of (5) DX Units and associated items, and installation of (7) chilled water/hot water heat air handling units and associated items, including Energy Management System on one AHU and single zone controls on other AHUs, hot water heating system and fan coil units. Solicitation includes (2) bid alternates and project is subject to the availability of funds. Cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. In accordance with P.L. 100-656, this acquisition is NOT restricted to business size. Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 1542, Construction-General Contractors-Nonresidential Buildings Other Than Industrial Buildings & Warehouses, applies to this acquisition, and the small business size standard is $17 million. Bid packages will be available on or about 8/25/95. No bid deposit is required. There are a limited number of specifications and drawings available, which will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis until the supply is exhausted. Only written requests for Soln. Requests for bid packages shall be submitted on or before 9/18/95. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 9:00 a.m. local time, 9/8/95 in the Auditorium, Bldg. 3 at the Bonham facility. Interested bidders are expected to attend and are requested to submit any technical questions to the Contracting Officer in Dallas via mail or fax by 9/5/95.
