Architectural and Engineering Services are required for the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates and occasionally surveys and/or reports. Each project may cover a broad range of disciplines including architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, environmental, and electrical. Associated work may include the preparation of ``as-built'' drawings, checking shop drawings, approval of submittals, and consultation during construction. A/E firms responding to this announcement will be evaluated on the above requirements based upon the following criteria in relative order of importance. a) Professional experience of the firm in conducting building renovation and construction. b) Multi-discipline engineering capability. c) Professional qualification of staff to be assigned. d) Innovative design capability. e) Adequacy and qualification of sub-contractor and consultants. g) Cost control effectiveness. h) Location of firm in the general geographical area of the project, provided there is an approximate number of qualified firms therein for consideration. i) Past experience if any of the firm with respect to performance on Department of Defense contracts. j) Volume of work previously awarded to the firm by the Department of Defense. k) Capability to provide all drawings in AutoCad R12 format and all specifications in Microsoft Word format.
