Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF OFFICE TYPE FACILITY AND AIRCRAFT RAMP EXPANSION, NORTH CAROLINA AIR NATIONAL GUARD, CHARLOTTE, NC Sol. DAHA31-95-B-0004. Contact, MSG Ralph L. Construction of ``Composite Deployment Support Facility,'' for the North Carolina Air National Guard (NCANG), Albemarle-Stanly County Airport, 40659 Airport Road, New London, NC 28127. The project consists of construction of a 9,000 square foot office and 12,750 square yards of aircraft ramp expansion. The facility will be mostly general purpose office areas with a classroom complete with audio and visual equipment hookups, two separate offices constructed for security conferences, a second story observation and control area with 360 degree visual observation of approaching air traffic and general purpose areas including rest rooms and break area. The facility will also include a large warehouse area with exposed structural members and finished concrete flooring, a three bay fire department with adjacent office and bunker gear storage areas. The floow in the fire department will drain through an oil/water separator. All areas will have typical flooring and finished standard for the use with suspended ceiling in most areas and flourescent lighting. The ramp expansion includes approximately 95,700 cubic yards of borrow and earthwork, 4,300 square yards of concrete pavement and approximately 14,600 square yards of bituminous pavement. The project includes underground electical, water, sewer, and telecommunications utilities. The principle features include site work 34%, Paving 24%, Metals 4%, Carpentry 11%, Plumbing 4%, HVAC 5%, and Electrical 6%. At the option of the NCANG, and as funding permits, the following Additive Bid Items (ABI's) will be included in the scope of the contract: ABI #1, Deletg all asphalt aircraft pavement and add rigid concrete pavement in place of asphalt pavement; ABI #2, All all grading, drainage, erosion control, paving, marking, and seeding associated with the entrance road to the east side of the site; ABI #3, Add all landscaping except for seeding of grass; and ABI #4, Add architectural casework. The completion time for this project is 300 calendar days. Dodge offices in Raleight, Charlotte and Greensboro, NC., Bid deposit of $125.00 in the form of a certified check or cashiers check or money order made payable to the ``Finance and Accounting Officer, Shaw AFB'' is required. Deposit will be refunded provided the drawings, specifications, and bidding documents are returned, transportation prepaid, in good condition, without marks, notes, or mutilations to the issuing office within 33 calendar days after bid opening.
