Privott, 804/441-6560 The Department of Commerce proposes to acquire an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler system Modified for Doppler Speed Log Operation, utilizing a Broad Band Vessel Mounted 300 Khz ADCP 10 inch concave transducer. Modified for both Dual Axis Doppler Speed, Water Depth, and Nautical Miles Traveled. The ADCP system shall contain at a minimum: 1. Transect Software,P/N RD-S- TRANSECT, 2. Navigation Interface Software, P/N RD-S-NAVSOFT, and (3) set of Operation and Maintenance System Manuals. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest an capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
