66 -- TAQMAN LS-50B PCR DETECTION SYSTEM POC Contact Grace White at (404)842-6553 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to negotiate, on a sole sourcebasis, purchase of one Taqman LS-50B Detection System from Perkin Elmer Applied BiosystemsDivision. This equipment is for screening nucleic acid sequences for two (2) allele genotyping andincludes (1) LS-50B Luminescence Spectrometer optical unit; (2) Plate reader; (3) Interferencefilter and holder; (4) Computer and monitor; (5) installation reagent kit; (6) Taqman PCR reagentkit; (7) instrument and application software; (8) 96-well Hi White Plates (100); and (9) singleposition water thermostatted holder for 10-mm cuvette. All interested parties may identify theirinterests, but must provide proof of capability to provide an acceptable product by submittingpricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered, and make and model numbers ofthe equipment. Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents withoutaccompanying information to establish the vendor's capability of meeting the Government's needswill be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will beconsidered for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses arereceived by close of business 45 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a contract willbe negotiated with the above named source.
