20 -- AN/SPQ-12(V) RADAR DISPLAY AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM (RADDS) SOL N00024-96-R-5200 POC Steve Gordon, Contract Specialist, (703)602-7904. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure the Radar Distribution Group portion of the AN/SPQ-12(V) Radar Display and Distribution System (RADDS) from Frontier Engineering Inc (FEI), 4500 W. Sixth, P.O. Box 1023, Stillwater, OK 74075. The AN/SPQ-12(V) consists of the Radar Distribution Group (CV-3989()/SP Signal Converters and SB-4229(V)/SP Radar Distribution Switchboard) and the Radar Indicator Group (AN/SPA-25G). The AN/SPQ-12(V) interfaces to Navy radars and ship navigational sensors. The analog synchro signals interface to the data converter which mulitplexes the radar triggers, antenna bearing, ship's heading and speed data into a single 64-bit RADDS serial digital data stream. The converter outputs the RADDS digital data stream to the switchboard. The switchboard distributes the radar data to as many as 32 separate displays via copper or fiber optic cables. FEI is the only qualified producer of the CV-3989 and SB-4229(V) components of the AN/SPQ-12(V) system. This synopsis is for informational purposes only, for the benefit of potential subcontractors.
