The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to issue a contract to repair and upgrade approximately 34,000 square feet of raised computer flooring in Bldg. 1440. Over the years, pedestals have separated from the adhesive, stringers have become loose, and several hundred lateral braces have been removed to accommodate cable trays and electrical conduits. Many of the access floor panels do not fit squarely in to the flooring grid due to the floor being out of alignment and not level. This causes the panels to rock back and forth, creating uneven dips and protrusions, which cause a serious safety hazards. The requirement shall include all material labor and equipment necessary to provide a raised computer flooring system that meets current seismic requirements. Engineering stamped calculations certifying seismic zone 4 specifications will be required. The performance period will be 60 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.. IFB F04700-95-B-A019 to be issued on or about 7 Aug 95 with a 30 day bid period. Plans will be available in the lobby of Bldg. 2800 for inspection without charge.
