65 -- MRI PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER - SAN FRANCISCO SOL RFP-662-81-95 DUE 081795 POC Contact Point, ROD A K SANCHES, (415)750-2065 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to enter into a sole source negotiations with Invivo Research Incorportated, Orlando, Florida, for the procurement of a 3100 Omni-Trak MRI Patient Monitoring System with a 3112-1 End-Tidal, CO2 Analyzer for the Anesthesia Service located at the DVAMC in San Francisco, California. This sole source solicitation is in accordance with FAR Part 6. The Standard Industrial Classification code for this soliciation is 5047. The salient characteristics of the MRI Patient Monitoring System includes, but not limited to: *3100 Omni Trak with 3112-1 End-Tidal CO2 Analyzer, *Monitors ECG NIBP, SaO2, and respiration, *Patient cable with 4 pinch leads, *twin lumen MRI air hose, *Fiber optic sensor, *ETCO2 starter kit, *Patient sample tube, *Omega monitor cart (non-magnetic), *1 roll recording paper, *Installation, *Low and non-ferrous content in filtering and circuity permits interface-free MR scanning and clear stable ECG waveform, *Provide complete vital signs monitoring which sall include ECG, Respiration, Heart Rate, Pulse Oximeter, Endotidal Carbon Dioxide (ETCO2) and non invasive blood pressure, *The system must provide digital readouts of monitored parameters in the magnet room, the control room monitor will provide vector graphics analog displays of ECG, pulse and respiration waveforms, with digital displays of heart rate, SpO2, Systolic and diastolic pressure, Map, Respiratory rate and EtCO2 plus a thermal array recorder to print two channel waveforms and tabular data, *The magnet room monitor must be capable of operating as close as ten (10) feet to the magnet, *The magnet room monitor will measure systolic and disastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure and heart rate via oscillometric method with selectable automatic intervals, manual BP activation, plus include high and low alarms for all parameters, *The magnet room monitor will also measure SpO2 value with pulse strength indicator using fiber optic sensors, *The magnet room monitor will measure and display continuous EtCO2, inspired CO2, nitrous oxide and respiratory rate, *Non-Ferrous mobile cart for magnet room monitor, and accessories - full list of blood pressure cuffs plus nasal canula for Co2 sampling, *Due to the magnetic field of the MRI apparatus, a monitor made of compatable metals and plastics is necessary for operation in the MRI room. The monitor has no metals that are magnetic or metals that will interfere with the operation of the MRI apparatus, * It is specifically designed to work in conjuction with MRI compatalbe Anesthesia Ventilator and Anesthesia gas delivery systems.
