Project consists of a base requirement and an option. The base work includes design and subsequent renovation of the exterior and interior of building 458, Fitness Center. The job includes interior and exterior demolition, new work and all incidental work including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical work. Work includes new interior wall patricians and associated structural work, renovations of existing HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems. The option work includes design and subsequent demolition of existing roof and installation of a modified bitumen roof. The Fitness Center consists of a pool area, gear issue room, basketball courts, racquetball courts, exercise rooms, locker rooms and office areas. The Fitness Center is a one story wood frame structure that is approximately 96,000 square feet. A 100% final design will be required of the contractor after award and prior to construction. The contractor will be selected by competitive negotiation (source selection) procedures based upon the following technical, management and price factors: 1) price, 2) technical design, 3) proposed design/build organization, qualifications and previous performance. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Do not call for additional technical information. A pre-proposal conference and site visit is scheduled for 27 September 1995 at 10:00 AM at Building 504. No appointment necessary. Plans and specifications will become available on or about 12 September 1995. Date for receipt of proposals is scheduled for 13 October 1995 at 10:00 AM.
