The observation wells will range in depth from 230 to 550 feet in order to monitor specific water-bearing zones. The observation wells will be located in the vicinity of existing production wells. The existing production wells were originally drilled into fine-grained fluvial-lacustrine deposits by direct mud-rotary drilling utilizing a ''drag'' bit. Drilling conditions for the observation wells are anticipated to be similar. The drilling program will include the geophysical (borehole) logging of the two deepest borings. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. This procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1781. The size standard for this SIC code is: $7.0.
