NIH intends to procure on a SOLE SOURCE basis under the authority of FAR 13.106(A) the following items: twelve (12) each M3 Scanner, sic (6) each 20 MM X Mirrors, six (6) each 20 MM Y Mirrors, and twelve (12) each interface backplace for diital card from General Scanning Inc. These optical scanners are needed to control visual stimuli in experiments concerned with the visual stabilization of the eyes. They are servo-controlled mirror galvanometers that contain the power frequency response and size required to intercept the projection beams used in the experiments (beam diameter 2 cm). It is the Government's belief that the above requirements can only be met by GSI. If any interested party believes they can meet the above specifications, they may submit a statement of capabilities. Information furnished must include enough material, in sufficient detail, to perform a proper evaluation of their ability to perform.
