The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to purchase through a Request for Quotation (RFQ) A Triple Resonance, Z SPEC Microsample Gradient Probe (with filters) for a 500 MHZ System with H-2 Lock. The NALORAC Z SPEC PROBE will be used as an integral part of our existing VXR-500 NMR SYSTEM. This probe together with the pulsed field gradient module are required for conducting NMR experiments in 90% H20, 10% D20 media and are essential for detecting exchangeable imino and amino protons of macromolecules. The Institute intends to pruchase this equipment by Other Than Full and Open Competition from NALORAC. The probe must be capable of being fully integrated with the existing Varian VXR-500 NMR system. The intended source NALARAC is the manufacturer of the Z SPEC Probe and guarantees complete integration of the probe into the NMR system. All responsible sources may submit a Request For Quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. (See Note 22). It is anticipated that Request For Quotation (RFQ) Number NIDDK-SSAS-95-109, will be abailable fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is 8/22/95.
