Contracting Officer, 208/828-2664. The contractor shall furnish all
plant, labor, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision
necessary to perform all operations in connection with the Repair of
Stem Walls and Trusses. The work includes the repair of fifteen wooded
gabled Pratt trusses (50 foot span) on built-up columns at 12 feet on
center, per facility, four (4) facilities. Repair consists of the
replacement of various members and connection in each of the trusses
and all necessary miscellaneous architectural, electrical and
mechanical work required to accomplish truss repair. This project also
includes repair of the stem walls on these same facilities. Repair
consists of sealing the cracks in the walls with an elastomeric
caulking compound and then sealing the entire concrete walls with a
waterproofing product. Finally, this project also consists of the
repair of a concrete floor by removal and replacement in a similar
facility. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and
$250,000. The total performance period for this project is 150 calendar
days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Requests for
solicitation must be in writing and include address, telephone number,
facsimile number, business type (small, large, or small disadvantaged
business). This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for
small disadvantaged business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns
should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the
project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than
7 Aug 95. This notification must include a positive statement of
eligibility, certification certificate as proof of SDB or DBE status as
a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern and
evidence of the capability to perform projects of this complexity and
magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in
similar work and financial status should be submitted with references.
If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the
solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further
notice. Project requirements will be made available on or about 15 Aug
