ACTUAL REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) WILL BE ISSUED ELECTRONICALLY; THEREFORE, THERE IS NO NEED TO RESPOND IN WRITING WITH REFERENCE TO THIS CBD NOTICE. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL, will procure through an electronic bulletin board, the Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board System (ITABBS), the following items: 20 EACH, NEC MULTISYNC XE21 OR EQUIVALENT COLOR MONITORS WITH THE FOLLOWING SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: 21 INCH (DIAGONAL) COLOR MONITOR; 19.8 INCH VIEWABLE IMAGE SIZE; MULTISYNC/MULTISCAN UP TO 1280X1024 NON INTERLACED; ENERGY STAR COMPLIANT; MINIMUM .28mm DOT PITCH; HORIZONTAL SCAN RATE OF 31-69 Hz; MAXIMUM RESOLUTION OF 1024-768 @76Hz; MAXIMUM VIDEO BANDWIDTH OF 85 MHz; MPR II COMPLIANT; FLAT SCREEN DISPLAY; TILT/SWIVEL BASE; AND ANTI-STATIC SCREEN COATING to be delivered to DISA WESTHEM (WEK42), 8705 INDUSTRIAL BLVD, BUILDING 3900, TINKER AFB, OK 73145-3352 within 30 days after contract award. The anticipated RFQ release date is 15 AUGUST 1995 with quotations expected to be due on 23 August 1995; accordingly, the anticipated award date is 25 August 1995. Award will be based upon the lowest priced, technically acceptable solution from a responsible bidder. Vendor quotations in response to this RFQ must be received in hard copy; data facsimile quotations will be accepted at 618-256-9414. Vendors will be able to dial into the electronic ITABBS, and download the RFQ, check the status of the RFQ, submit questions, receive amendments and other RFP related correspondence. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Information from the electronic bulletin board system will either be in ASCII or Microsoft Word for Windows 2.0 format. RFQs are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The ITABBS can be accessed by any FIP vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 - 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor proposals.
