Information Agency intends to award on a one-time, sole-source basis up
to six non-personal services contracts to individuals having existing
unique specialized technical and/or other experience in activities
directly related to the consolidation of the technical operations,
equipment, and facilities of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL),
Office of Engineering, with the USIA International Broadcasting
Bureau, Office of Engineering. These individuals will provide technical
engineering assistance, advice, and specialized studies and reports to
USIA engineering staff on RFE/RL facilities located primarily in
Germany, Spain, and Portugal. Location of work will be principally in
Washington, DC; travel is not anticipated. The proposed period of
performance for this specialized engineering work is NTE six months at
a costNTE $50,000 per contract. Responses received within 15 calendar
days after thispublication will be fully considered if they contain
clear and convincing documentation as proof of being more efficient,
economical, and advantageous to the Government. This synopsis of intent
to award the above-stated contracts shall not be considered a
solicitation document; therefore, no contract award will be made on the
