Work involves demolition of 27 concrete masonry storage buildings located adjacent to military family housing units and rebuilding these units plus constructing 27 similar structures at other locations in the Fort Jackson Family Housing Area. This is a readvertisement of a project solicited in 1994 which was never funded. This acquisition is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program as a 100% set-aside for small disadvantaged business concerns. SIC is 1542, Magnitude of Construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Government is surveying the work site for asbestos containing materials at this time and asbestos abatement may be added to this project as a separately priced item after survey results are available. Because solicitation documents are limited, priority will be given to SDB firms requesting documents within ten calendar days after this notice.
