540/542-2832 The proposed procurement is for the removal/replacement of
91 steel projected windows containing lead paint on six concrete
buildings and renovation type work. The work consists of a Base Bid and
one Option. Base Bid work consists of: installation of one new wall
mounted air conditioning unit; one government supplied vent fan;
electrical hookup for government supplied Borg-Warner 4 ton air
conditioning unit; and removal/replacement of existing breakers, bus,
and door cover on existing Square D type panel boards; four new entry
doors; one new rolling garage door; new loading dock bumper; new front
entryway; painting the exterior on one building 15' x 17' with a 11'
eave height. Option One work consists of: installation of an exterior
insulation and finish system on a 12'' poured concrete building 35' x
49' with a 23' eave height. The Government's estimated price range for
the work to include Option 1 is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00.
Prospective Contractors are required to possess a Virginia Class A
license to submit a bid in response to this solicitation. Construction
will take place at the FEMA Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center,
19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Rd. (State Rt. 601), Bluemont, Loudoun
County, Virginia. A firm-fixed-price construction contract is
anticipated to be awarded. A Prebid Conference and Site Visit will be
scheduled, the exact date and time will be identified in the
solicitation, Section L. The period of performance to include option
will be 300 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The
solicitation, to include specifications and drawings, will be made
available upon WRITTEN request submitted to: FEMA, Mt. Weather
Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Rd., ATTN:
Stephany Bayne, Bldg. 413, Bluemont, VA 22012 and a $25.00
non-refundable deposit. Checks shall be made payable to: U.S.
