Scope of work: The work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to upgrade the security system. The work includes four (4) subsystems: the CCTV system, access control system, gates system and the intercom system. THE CCTV system will be upgraded with replacement of existing cameras, addition of new fixed and multi-function cameras and the addition of new recording and control equipment. The upgrade of the access control system will include removal of the existing system and the installation of a new personal computer based system including about thirty (30) controlled access doors, two (2) remote workstations, a badge system, alarm horns on selected doors, remote control of some gates, camera interface and photo identification badges. The perimeter gates will have their operators removed and some gates will be replaced in kind. Others will have barrier arms installed inside the slide gates. Some fencing changes will be made to accommodate the new positions of the barrier arms and a new kiosk will be installed in east truck parking. New turnstiles will be installed at the employee entrances to the GMF. A new intercom system will provide communication to controlled access exterior doors and fence gates. No Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled. The estimated price range is between $400,000 and $600,000 with completion required within 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
