DUE 091495. Contact Mr. Kenneth Duval 707/765-7286. Removal of
Underground Fuel Storage Tank. This project is to remove 1 underground
storage tank located aboard the Training Center, also remove its
related appurtenances, remove accessible contaminated soil, and then
restore the site. If a contaminated site is encountered, it shall be
remediated using contract modifications. This removal shall be
permitted and accomplished under the requirements of California
Administrative Code, Title 23, Subchapter 16. The project scope of work
includes the following: (1) Locate and mark all utilities. Hand dig and
probe as necessary. (2) Excavate and expose tank, and appurtenances.
Remove items and fill material as necessary. (3) Remove and clean the
underground tank. Certify the tank is free of hazardous materials or
waste. Dispose of contaminated cleaning liquids, tank and piping
according to applicable laws. (4) Restore site to match adjacent
surfaces including placing the compacting clean fill, replacing
concrete sidewalks, concrete pads, asphalt pavement and landscaped
areas. Test disturbed irrigation areas for proper operation. (5)
Excavate approximately 500 CY. of diesel - contaminated soil from a
previously excavated former tank site, and restore site to original
condition. (6) Perform various site restoration tasks at former tank
sites, includig backfill, lawn restoration, and concrete and asphalt
repair. Additional work to be covered by contract modification
includes: (1) Where site is found to be contaminated, excavate
acceptable soil at a Class III landfill. (3) Transport and place known
soil contaning diesel fuel, fuel oil or wate oil, or a combination of
such, within designated treatment area onboard TRACEN and prpare the
soil to specified configuration (treatment mounds or soil lifts). (4)
Transport and aerate soil containing gasoline within the designated
treatment area, and disposal at Class III landfill. (5) Restore sites
where remedial soil excavation extends beyond the immediate tank
location. All work shall conform to applicable local, state and federal
regulations for Underground Tanks, Hazardous Materials and Hazardous

exhausted. USCG Training Center business hours are, 7:30 AM Thru 4:00
PM (Local Time) Monday thru Friday. The contract will be a firm-fixed
price contract. The SIC CODE is 1794. Estimated cost will be between
